An Exciting Leadership Update at ModelOp

ModelOp Appoints Dave Trier to CEO As It Enters Next Phase of Growth

Today, we want to share an exciting and important update about ModelOp’s leadership—one that reflects our next chapter of growth.

After many years leading ModelOp as Co-Founder and CEO, Pete Foley, has stepped back from day-to-day operations and will continue his involvement as a member of ModelOp’s Board of Directors. Dave Trier, who has served as ModelOp’s SVP of Product for the past seven years, has been appointed ModelOp’s new Chief Executive Officer. This transition has been thoughtfully planned and closely aligned with the company’s growth, maturity, and long-term strategy.

This evolution reflects our market momentum and the scale of opportunity ahead. As we embark on our next phase, we’re doubling-down on product investments to extend our industry leadership, expand our team, and innovate for our customers.

From Pete Foley

We founded ModelOp with the mission to enable enterprises to unlock the transformative power of AI rapidly, safely, and profitably. We focused on solving hard, real-world problems for organizations operating in complex and highly regulated environments.

Over time, ModelOp has grown into an award-winning, category-defining platform that enterprises rely on to manage AI at scale and is trusted by marquee organizations in the Fortune 500 around the world. That progress came from listening closely to customers, making deliberate product decisions, and holding ourselves to a high standard of execution.

ModelOp’s next phase focuses on extending our success and doubling-down on investments in our market-defining product. Dave Trier is the right leader to fuel ModelOp’s next wave of growth, as he deeply understands our customers, our technology, and what it takes to deliver AI in mission-critical environments. Not only has he helped shape and create our product and strategy through critical growth stages over the past seven years—he has earned the trust of our customers and our team by developing unique expertise, listening carefully, and building what actually works for enterprises.

I have complete confidence in his leadership and look forward to continuing to support ModelOp as a board member.

From Dave Trier

I am honored to step into the CEO role and grateful for the trust Pete and the board have placed in me.

Enterprises across all industries are under pressure to deliver on the promise of AI, but face substantial headwinds to unlock its transformational value. Over the past seven years, I’ve worked closely with our customers and teams to build a platform that meets these demands in enterprise environments—learning what helps them succeed and what gets in the way. That practical experience shapes how I think about our company’s next phase of growth and partnership with our customers.

This transition does not change our strategy, roadmap, or commitments.  Rather, it was strategically planned to leverage our real-world experience to rapidly grow our customers’ successes, strengthen partnerships, and accelerate our R&D investments in our market-defining product.

AI is fundamentally causing enterprises to re-architect their core business strategies and processes. As such, Enterprise leaders are desperately seeking a blueprint for how they can deliver on these lofty promises of AI rapidly, safely, and profitably. They need transparency into which AI initiatives are delivering value, where bottlenecks exist, and how to scale responsibly. ModelOp helps them answer those questions confidently across the entire enterprise.

I’m thankful for Pete’s leadership, trust, and continued partnership, and for the foundation he has built. I’m equally grateful to our customers—whose partnership means everything— and to the ModelOp team—whose discipline, curiosity, and care for customers make this work meaningful every day.

What This Means for Our Customers and Partners

  • Continuity where it matters: Our mission, strategy, and customer commitments remain unchanged.
  • Deeper product leadership: Continued investment in enterprise-grade AI lifecycle management and governance with accelerated investments in agentic-led product experiences.
  • Customer-first innovation and value: Leadership grounded in deep product, technical, and customer delivery expertise—intensely focused on helping enterprises operationalize AI at scale and continuously innovating our product.

This is a deliberate evolution designed to help ModelOp support enterprises as AI becomes a core operational capability.

We’re deeply grateful for the trust of our customers, partners, and team—and inspired by what we’re building next.

Sincerely,

Dave Trier
