DevOps
DevOps is a set of practices that combines software development (Dev) and IT operations (Ops) to shorten the development lifecycle and deliver high-quality software continuously. In the context of AI, DevOps teams often help integrate models into business applications but are typically focused on code, system reliability, and deployment processes. Unlike ModelOps, DevOps is not designed to manage the unique requirements of model performance, retraining, compliance, or model lifecycle governance.
For additional context, consider that AI governance is evolving much like DevOps did for software development, as discussed in "AI Governance Challenges."
