Open Data Group and BlueData – Accelerating Model Operations

I’m really excited to announce that we now support our flagship FastScore™ AI/ML Model Operations Platform running on BlueData EPIC™ software (now part of Hewlett Packard Enterprise). We’re thrilled to be part of the BlueData / HPE ecosystem and plan to support BlueData in all of our future releases. This integration enables large enterprises to more rapidly convert insights from data scientists into realized value, by slashing the time required to launch and track AI/ML and analytic models in production.

Our BlueData support is important for a few key reasons:

  • BlueData, recently acquired by HPE, provides the leading container-based software platform for enterprise AI/ML and Big Data workloads. Their container-based EPIC software platform has gained considerable attention for its ability to help global organizations rapidly scale and orchestrate their analytic deployments in private cloud, hybrid cloud, and multi-cloud environments.
  • Open Data Group’s FastScore Model Operations Platform, which also leverages containers, helps large enterprises launch and track AI/ML models in production independent of their origin and regardless of the technical and organizational environments in which they are expected to be deployed during their useful lifetime.
  • As a result of the integration, the entire FastScore product suite will be made available as a container image in the BlueData EPIC App Store – providing customers with self-service capabilities to provision FastScore services seamlessly in any environment whether on-premises, in the cloud, or in hybrid cloud deployments.

Support for the BlueData platform was driven by customer demand and it was easy and straightforward – thanks to the complementary architectures, the enterprise focus of our two platforms, and the great team at BlueData.  Both Open Data Group and BlueData recognize the value of using containers to drive greater agility and efficiency in enterprise deployments of AI/ML and analytics.

According to Nanda Vijaydev, lead data scientist and distinguished technologist at BlueData (now HPE), “Our enterprise customers are looking for solutions that can help accelerate all aspects of their machine learning operations, from creating models to deploying them in production. Open Data Group is a great complement to the BlueData platform, and we’re pleased to add their FastScore solution to our AI/ML partner ecosystem.”

Machine Learning Model Interpretation

To either a model-driven company or a company catching up with the rapid adoption of AI in the industry, machine learning model interpretation has become a key factor that helps to make decisions towards promoting models into business. This is not an easy task --...

Matching for Non Random Studies

Experimental designs such as A/B testing are a cornerstone of statistical practice. By randomly assigning treatments to subjects, we can test the effect of a test versus a control (as in a clinical trial for a proposed new drug) or can determine which of several web...

Distances And Data Science

We're all aware of what 'distance' means in real-life scenarios, and how our notion of what 'distance' means can change with context. If we're talking about the distance from the ODG office to one of our favorite lunch spots, we probably mean the distance we walk when...

Communicating between Go and Python or R

Data science and engineering teams at Open Data Group are polyglot by design: we like to choose the best tool for the task at hand. Most of the time, this means our services and components communicate through things like client libraries and RESTful APIs. But...

An Introduction to Hierarchical Models

In a previous post we gave an introduction to Stan and PyStan using a basic Bayesian logistic regression model. There isn't generally a compelling reason to use sophisticated Bayesian techniques to build a logistic regression model. This could be easily replicated...

Machine Learning and Technological Explosion

In recent years, as commercial capital nourishing technology development, many technologies that challenge humanity are subverting human society: internet giant monopoly, DNA editing, artificial intelligence, etc. One of the core reason that made this "technological...
