The Engagement Manager will have full responsibility for the day-to-day management of the customer engagement, including all aspects related to managing our delivery team, resulting in a successful engagement and a satisfied customer.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the solution development team in the planning, design, and development of new projects
  • Clearly understand customer business requirements that form a product or solution
  • Manage a team of data scientists, software developers, and technical architects to deliver against customer requirements. Lead engagement development of advanced analytical models, implementation of product, and processes for Model Development Life Cycle
  • Manage customer relationships within engagements and ensure project efforts align with customer success criteria
  • Increase customer adoption of ODG services and are retained through successful engagement delivery
  • Resolve issues and solve problems throughout project life cycle
  • Champion engineering and operational excellence for customers and within Open Data Group
  • Deliver engagements against established model operations best practices.
  • Work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment
  • Perform project-level effort estimation
  • Thought leader in the analytical technologies being implemented with recent experience adding value to development and architecture activities
  • Emplify the delivery culture of Open Data Group; provide feedback to Customer Success and product teams on process, style, and technique
  • Mentor and support the career development of team members; identify and provide project opportunities for targeted skill growth
  • Support the growth of Open Data Group through recruiting participation
  • Assist with customer proposals and identify areas for expansion sales at existing customers
  • Assist in defining and deploying market activities, collateral, and eminence building to accelerate uptake of model operations
  • Track and report on project milestones and provide status reports

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience managing software development projects preferably in the analytics space
  • Proven Advanced Analytics / Data Science experience of at least 2 years
  • Demonstrated success at managing complex, multi-team programs and projects
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with cross-disciplinary teams of Data Scientists and Engineers
  • Extensive experience leading, coordinating, and organizing remote teams in a collaborative environment
  • Strong understanding of project management principles and methodologies
  • Rapidly adapt and respond to changes and ability to effectively prioritize
  • Experience in managing own and other’s work effort including time management, estimation, completion, issue identification & resolution, and status reporting
  • Wide variety of IT and business consulting engagement experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, and ability to present technical concepts to both technical and non-technical groups
  • Willing to travel up to 50%
  • Proficiency with JIRA, GitHub
  • Possess a high energy level, sense of urgency, decisiveness, and an ability to work well under pressure
  • Demonstrable success in professional services leading enterprise technology engagements

Education:

Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, MIS, Math, Finance (or related field) or equivalent work experience
